imagine a ghost getting brought back to life but they’ve been a ghost for so long that they have trouble adjusting. like, they keep running into walls and doors because they used to be able to just pass through them or they trip down the stairs because they used to float down them and sometimes they trip over their own feet because they forget how to walk all together

#now all of you know how fucking ridiculous you look with chopsticks in your hair  #confucious didnt die for white people to put chopsticks in their hair (via)

Confucius (at least learn to spell his name right) also saw the education of women and women’s rights in general as a terrible sin

Hairsticks have been in use for thousands of years, and have been found in cultures of the Ancient Egyptians, ROMANS and GREEKS. Although some of these have been jeweled, luxury items, such as the gold hairsticks of Egypt, more common, wooden hairsticks have also been found in cultures such as ROME, suggesting that they were in wide use amongst people regardless of their financial standing. However, the most influential culture on modern hairsticks has been Japanese, and in particular the use of decorative Japanese Kanzashi.

Although many modern hairsticks draw more on the elaborate approach to the design of Kanzashi more than on the simpler designs for functional pins, Kanzashi are used within a far more rigid and traditional environment. Kanzashi are frequently floral in design, especially those dictated by the changing of the seasons and used by Geisha.

HER IGNORANCE OF HISTORY MAKES HER LOOK STUPID IN THE PICTURE.

My entire father’s side is all from Italy and they do this. So when I decided to let my grandmother do my hair, she put the hair sticks in my hair. I put a picture of it on facebook and it somehow ended up on some “White People Stealing Culture” site. I was so angry because that was literally my culture.

Ignorant people of the world, ignite!
